Purpose of the Catalogue
UFOMY Public Domain Literature Library provides reading guides and contextual notes for a curated selection of public-domain works. The catalogue aims to help readers navigate historical texts through editorial commentary that explains structures, themes, and intellectual backgrounds.
Scope and Selection
The library currently contains 92 works in English, drawn primarily from the Project Gutenberg corpus. Selection Catalogue maintenance uses source records and bibliographic context. The four categories—Ethics, Logic & Ideas and Exploring Young Readers & Adventures—reflect the catalogue grouping criteria about groupings that facilitate discovery. Not every public-domain work is included; choices are based on catalogue metadata and thematic relevance of intrinsic interest and complementarity within the collection.
Source Attribution
All texts referenced in the catalogue are sourced from Project Gutenberg, a trusted repository of public-domain transcriptions. Each book record includes the publisher designation to make the provenance clear. UFOMY does not host the full texts but links to the source editions. The catalogue notes are original editorial content.
